DOG FRIENDLY COTTAGES

Our cottages are doggy friendly…

Want to bring your pooch along with you? With all the wonderful forest walks on the doorstep, it would be a shame not to. Here at the Old Dairy, your dog is very welcome.

We accept up to 2 small or 1 medium sized dog and charge £25 for one dog, £35 for two.

We include a doggy welcome pack that includes a treat, spare lead, food & water bowl along with a doggy towel & blanket – in case you forget or just need extras.

There are lots of great walks directly from the cottages and I also leave a list of pubs, restaurants and attractions that are dog friendly.

The forest of dean loves dogs!

The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley area is very dog friendly and many attractions and pubs accept dogs happily.

There is an abundance of walks along safe, hard forest tracks to keep out of any mud and also some lovely flat footpaths alongside the picturesque river Wye. Many of them have pubs en route so you can stop for a spot of lunch and a well-deserved rest with your furry friend. The Sculpture Trail at Beechenhurst is a lovely woodland walk and there is a cafe there too. Dogs are allowed on outside tables.
